The Spits lay waste to the West Coast!
Wednesday, October 7th, 2009
Seattle’s garage-punk miscreants The Spits are leaving their fortified compound for a week’s worth of shows along the left coast. They’ll kick things into gear with an appearance at Portland’s Vice / Scion Garage Fest alongside Roky Erickson, The Black Lips, The Dirtbombs, Jay Reatard, and a host of others before heading down the coast on their own, including a two-night residence at San Francisco’s famed Thee Parkside.
Last month, the band released their fourth self-titled album, officially titled “The Spits” but better known amongst record geeks and collector nerds as “IV” or the “School’s Out” LP. CD and digital formats were delivered by Recess Records, and vinyl was handled by the band’s own Thriftstore Records.
