Nobunny was born an hour west of Tucson, AZ in the Saguaro desert. Living in a trailer as a mere man with no water, phone, or electricity gave me plenty of time to think… ‘What am I gonna do with my life?’ I was trying to come up with something that I could sustain myself on and that would be something that I enjoy. I decided to fill the untapped niche of an Animal Elvis Impersonator . There was already a fat Elvis, skinny Elvis, black Elvis, Asian Elvis, female Elvis, midget Elvis, extreme Elvis, but no animals. I figured I could tour the Elvis circuit and make a name for myself as Elvis Bunny. I did a lot of practicing Elvis tunes and moves in the desert with an old acoustic guitar but eventually started writing my own material.

I decided in the meantime I could go into town (Tucson) and hustle on the street as the “No-Money-Bunny”. I never made a single penny on the mean economically distressed streets of T-Town. With a trip to Chicago approaching, I booked my first show on Easter 2001 at The Fireside Bowl in Chicago, IL and Nobunny made his proper debut (it’s on video!). The set was dedicated to Joey Ramone (who died that day) and I played a mix of originals and covers (including Hasil Adkins, The Bobbyteens, Electric Eels, and The Dictators).

Nobunny has played every Easter since then including one show on the streets of Philly where he was assualted and robbed. The live show changes all the time. You never now if it’s going to be solo, a full band, a 2-piece, or even if Nobunny will show up. In the tradition of Andy Kaufman and Tony Clifton’s antics I’ve played shows in two different states at the same time sending out imposter Nobunny’s to do my deeds. Nobunny has been known to blow out his voice on tour and pass the mask and assume the role of bassist or guitarist while “Nobunny” entertains the crowd. Homeless for most of my adult life. Known to strip down to tighty whiteys. Known to be drunk. Known to be a pervert. Known to live each day blind and go the distance.
