Throw this record onto your stereo, crank the volume. A screeching wall of feedback gives way to a head-first assault on your eardrums as the first track come blasting out of your speakers. For the next 30 minutes, Mouthbreather power through ten rounds of unrestrained fury, led onward by intricate and aggressive guitar work that cuts through the mix over a direct, pummeling rhythm section. Vocals bellow and scream, boiling with the same unbridled ferocity that has characterized the last decade of Richmond punk rock. Desperate, energetic, and enraged while not overly chaotic, at times bordering on anthemic basement sing-alongs, former members of WOW, OWLS! and THE SETUP deliver a frantic call to a generation of young people disenfranchised with the mundane details of everyday life.

Future Plans: Mouthbreather are keeping very busy with a split 7″ with St. Augustine’s Environmental Youth Crunch coming out imminently via Richmond’s Rorschach Records. They are currently writing for a one-sided 12″ EP to be released in 2009 by Kiss of Death and Adagio Records. Tentative tour plans include a possible jaunt with Brooklyn’s BRIDGE AND TUNNEL and a European tour with hardcore legends ZANN to celebrate their 10th Anniversary in September 2009.
