Long before it became an inevitable trend for every punk band to break up and spawn a slew of acoustic projects, Jon and a handful of friends, together known as Drag The River, were laying down acoustic alt-country lullabies that continue to put most others to shame. With over a decade of writing under his belt, Snodgrass finally got around to releasing this solo record – which unifies his experiences in Drag The River and the more rocking Armchair Martian. His gentle, whiskey-soaked croon carries the songs forward with laid back guitars and just the right touch of twang, with faster-paced rockers providing an even balance with a handful of slower, somber ballads. An excellent soundtrack for slow springtime days and riding your bike around town as winter finally fades.
