Alternative Press recently launched a premiere of the video for the title track of the new album. You can head over to AP to check out the video for “Of Misery and Toil.” The video consists of still photos shot by their good friend Brian Keheller on the Young Livers/OK Pilot pre-FEST tour last October.

Young Livers recorded the album last year at Satellite Recordings in Ventura, CA with Armand John Anthony, also responsible for the auditory violence committed on 2008’s Glass And Ashes “S/T” album. Drums were re-tracked in December ’09 with Ryan Williams in Gainesville, FL. Williams then re-mixed the record and passed it along to New Alliance Mastering for a finished product.

Though never attaining much more than a cult following outside their native country, the band has been cited as an influence by higher-profile bands such as Hot Water Music, Dillinger Four, and Tiltwheel.

Jack Rabid, music critic and publisher of the music magazine Big Takeover, once listed Leatherface’s 1991 release “Mush” as one of the fifty greatest punk albums of all time.
